Application Process
If you wish to apply for this position, please complete and submit RBH’s job application form ensuring that you quote application reference EMA96.
RBH will only consider completed application forms with any supporting supplementary sheets (two sides of A4 maximum); it is the Company's policy not to accept CV's. Text only, Braille or large print versions are available on request via RBH for visually impaired people. Your application will be judged solely on its merits. In accordance with RBH’s policy, a disabled person meeting the essential criteria for the post will be guaranteed an interview. Where possible, changes will be made to ensure a disabled person is able to carry out the work. Any appointment will be subject to a medical assessment, satisfactory reference and entitlement to work in the United Kingdom.
RBH has a retirement age of 65 years and welcomes applications from anyone under this age. Once in employment, an employee may apply to continue working beyond age 65 in accordance with the Duty to Consider procedure.
Completing Your Application Form
- Applications will be accepted only on the application form and continuation sheets (if needed).
- Before you start to complete the application you should read the Job Description and Person Specification carefully. These detail the knowledge, experience, skills and behaviours needed.
- Applications will only be accepted until 12 noon on the closing date quoted in the advertisement and should be returned electronically to the email address below.

A provisional timetable for the selection process is included below; please could you advise if you have any difficulty with the outlined dates and/or any other dates when you are unavailable for assessment.
Assessment and Selection Process
All applications will be considered and assessed by the Selection Panel against the details included in the Person Specification in order to select an initial long list of candidates. If you have been successful at this stage EMA will contact you via telephone/email.
Initial screening assessments will be held on 5 & 6 November and final selection will be on 13 & 14 November. This will take place in the Rochdale area.
If you have not been successful at this stage, you will be notified in writing.
Following the screening interviews, all candidates will be contacted by EMA to advise whether they have been short listed for a further interview. At this final stage, the process is likely to involve skills testing, a stock-tour of RBH's estates, a Board/Council dinner (all on 13th November) followed by a presentation and interview on 14th November.
